RULES: TEACHERS
Commitment to the classes is essential to be a Balavikas teacher. Regularity and punctuality are essential.
If the teacher is late or unable to come he/she should inform the Balavikas coordinator and
make necessary arrangement for an alternate teacher.
We encourage teachers to wear Indian clothes. Teachers will set a good example of discipline and
moral values taught to the children in Balavikas. No controversial material will be permitted in classes.
Teachers have to be present for the whole duration of the Balvikas, thus increasing their availability.
This will also help all teachers to know the program as a whole rather than only their part.
Teachers are responsible to report any problem, behavioral or other, to the Balavikas coordinator,
and/or Board representative. Teachers shall not take disciplinary action on the children.
All teachers will complete a Teacher Volunteer form as prescribed by the temple.
A lesson plan will be formulated and given to the Board representative.
Teachers shall attend at least one workshop in a year as prescribed by the Board.
Teachers will follow all the rules prescribed by the HTSA Board.
The Board will review the rules on a regular basis and will revise them as needed.
